Less, done properly.
We started Roots with a quiet frustration. A shelf full of protein drinks, and not one we would give to someone we loved. Long ingredient lists. Gums we could not pronounce. A promise of health wrapped in the language of a gym.
So we removed everything that did not belong. What remained was milk from cows raised on grass, whey pressed from that same milk, and organic cocoa. Three ingredients. A short list on purpose.
We believe good food is honest food. It tells you where it comes from. It tastes like what it is. It does not need to shout.

Roots Organic Beverages was founded on a simple idea: the best protein drink is the one that leaves the most out. No stabilizers. No artificial sweeteners. No language borrowed from a supplement catalog.
We make our drink in Venice, California, in small batches, with milk from farms we know by name. We bottle in glass because glass is honest. We keep it cold because that is what real food asks of you.

Because real dairy asks for cold. Shelf-stable protein drinks rely on high-heat processing and additives to survive the shelf. We chose the fridge instead.
